For my biography I plan to feature former Student Government Association president, Dallas Kline. Dallas now attends Slippery Rock University for graduate school, but she accomplished a long list of impressive things during her undergraduate career.
Not only was she president of SGA, but also the sport management alliance and colleges against cancer. She was on homecoming court and worked as a campus pride guide. She has received many awards and titles such as senior woman of the year from the alumni association, sport management student of the year, the outstanding student leader award from the college of business and outstanding student for scholarly activity award for her senior year research project. Dallas is a well-known figure of the Slippery Rock community who has contributed just as much, if not more, than she has gained.
In my biography I plan to cover Dallas’ clear successes during her time here at SRU, while also showing what helped her to achieve all these things and have such a busy schedule while still maintaining her cool. I plan to interview Dallas’ mentor Dr. Crow from the sport management department, as well as her successor for the SGA presidency, Nicole Dunlop. I think these are two unique viewpoints into Dallas’ life that can bring in interesting perspectives. Also, because she is now in graduate school I will cover her transition from undergrad to grad, and how that has impacted the lifestyle she had previously been living here.
